As the autumnal chill seeps into our morning (and evening) routines, it’s about time we gave our skin some much needed TLC and a shake-up to combat pesky dry patches.

Cleanser

The transitional weeks can reign havoc on the skin. Whatever your skin type, we’re loving the Açaí Damage-Minimising Texture Perfecting Cleanser (150ml, £20.50). The cleanser boasts a gentle foam formulation, working to effectively cleanse and purify the skin. With an antioxidant rich formula, this number helps to clarify and protect the skin’s natural moisture, perfect for combating the chill that tends to dry out the skin. What’s more? It also protects against the visible effects of oxidative damage to your skin’s tone, texture, and elasticity.

Toner

A step oft neglected in our skincare regimes is toning. Ideal for removing every trace of cleanser and preparing it for moisturiser, our top choice in the toner stakes is the Lancôme Tonique Confort (200ml, £22). Designed to tone and rehydrate the skin, the Tonique Confort is silky soft and great for eliminating impurities after a long day, restoring your skin to a clean, soft and comforted state.

Moisturiser

Top of the picks for us in the day moisturiser sweepstakes is the Shiseido White Lucency Protective Day Cream (40ml, £50). Lightweight, softening and with SPF15, the moisturiser promises radiance and clarity to the skin and is especially great for sensitive skin. Also boasts the brand’s hallmark brightening and whitening White Lucency technology.

Fast forward 12 hours and you’re probably just about ready for some beauty sleep. Quit rummaging in your stocks for a souped-up moisturiser of summer days long gone – you’re going to need something a little more ‘heavy duty’ for autumn/winter sleep work. We adore the Laneige Water Sleeping Pack (80ml, average £23.50), a light gel formula mask. This pack offers intensive hydration and brighter skin, restoring the skin overnight. The mask is enriched with Bata-glucan to hydrates fatigue and dry skin whilst Ceramide formula strengthens the skin barrier. Finally, Laneige’s signature Himalaya Snow Water helps to keep your skin look more crystal clear and vitalised.

And a bonus!

Last but not least, the autumn/winter skincare shake-up is the perfect time to introduce a pampering special. We recently added the SK-II Facial Treatment Essence (75ml, $100) to our routines. This product is a serum style number, leaving a silky veil of moisture that replenishes and assists the skin’s 28-day renewal cycle. The essence boasts over 90% pure Pitera, helping to balance your skin’s pH, sebum, moisture and oxygen levels, leaving your skin balanced in texture and complexion.
