Back in May when we heard the first rumours and titterings about H&M’s newest designer collaboration, we shrugged it off at Aesthetic House. We’ve been there and done that with the all-morning queues and wild rummage for slim pickings. But then Isabel Marant threw a spanner in the works with her own news – the Isabel Marant x H&M collection.
‘H&M works with the best designers, and this invitation is an exciting honour,’ says Marant in an inital press note. ‘I aim at creating something real–something women want to wear in their everyday lives–with a certain carefree style. I think this is very Parisian: You dress up, but don’t pay too much attention to it, and you still look sexy.’
Isabel Marant’s eclectic traveller style looks to pair with the cleaner, fluid lines of Swedish H&M for a hallmark autumn/winter collaboration, and we’re excited. ‘The collection is infused with this kind of easiness and attitude. Everything can be combined following one’s own instincts, and my take on fashion is all about personality.’
The Marant for H&M range boasts both womenswear and menswear choices and will available in 250 stores as well as online from 14 November 2013. Pencil that date in the diaries all…
