Hot on the beauty radar this week is Alexa Chung’s announcement that she’ll be working with eye makeup mavens Eyeko for an exclusive capsule collection.
Back in my fledging days, I was an Eyeko girl, interning for all things PR, production and products in their head office, so to hear of their newest escapades with BrIT girl Chung is nothing short of amazing.
Whilst Alexa herself has already sung the brand’s praises, it seems she’ll be working closely with Max and Nina, co-founders of Eyeko, to develop a small collection of products, with signature branding and packaging.
“I met up with Max from Eyeko and we got along very well, I was inspired by his energy and the products themselves. So I started scribbling down ideas about how they could improve them and coming up with little puns that I could see or imagine on the barrels of the tubes. I just felt the whole company seemed fun and it got my creative juices flowing and it became quite an organic collaboration.”
Alexa Chung for Eyeko receives its UK launch in Selfridges in November, whilst US fans will have to wait a little while longer and it’ll hit the shelves of Sephora shortly after.
