Ah weekend, how we’ve missed you. We hereby vow never to leave you again (sort of).
This weekend whilst half the team is gallavanting at Glastonbury, we’re getting down and dirty with our favourite payday splurges. You know the sort, it’s been a five-week month, a gimmick or four is out to play, and your pursestrings are begging to be plied open…
Having already snapped up the obligatory black swing top, we’ve got a hankering for a couple more of these oh so delicate vests at Topshop (£18). Wear with a cropped cigarette jean and Converse, spritz a healthy dose of Bumble and bumble’s Surf Spray through your hair and go.
Payday calls for new arm candy. 12 paydays + 12 handbags = 24 hours a day of happy handbag heart. Right? Our current lust comes in the form of the Sophie Hulme Envelope Mini Shoulder Bag (£295).
On the other spectrum of shenanigans, newly added to the payday pile is Animal Crossing: New Leaf. A frivolous little gaming number that’ll up the cute ratings and send the addict sirens into a frenzy, New Leaf harbours all of our old favourite things about the original game and packages it neatly with just enough new features that we can work with… well.
If there was just one weekend picking for us, it’d probably come in nail varnish or lipstick form. No need to shy away – we’re all the same here. Saint Laurent Beauty has come up trumps with their electric hues that stay on the right side of pretty. The Rouge Volupte Shine in ‘Pink in Devotion’ (£24) and Tie and Dye Nail Lacquers are next on our beauty hitlist, but more on that later.
Finally, wedding season is upon us and, y’know, we’re just not quite at that Easter egg hued two-piece and fascinator level yet. Try this printed culotte and top co-ords set (£74) from Topshop for a high-end look on a high-street budget.
