Ranking high on our style chart this week is the jacket. A trusty companion for the frankly unpredictable spring months, the jacket is practical and perfect for easing yourself out of the winter coat realms of your wardrobe, but it is also an easy one-step path to effortless chic this season…

Hailing from Topshop is this monochrome patterned boucle biker jacket. Tough and feminine in equal measures, this is perfect for wearing unzipped and unbuttoned (ooh la la), with a white based Bretron stripe and nude chiffon maxi skirt. It is equally perfect for a little black dress and leather boots for a more tomboy feel too.

The Jacquard bomber jacket by Zara is clean and streamlined, our must-have evening jacket. The texture is perfect for adding interest to a look whilst being a statement piece. We’re imagining ours with tapered black and cream panel trousers and a delicate floral shirt.

Finally, no springtime jacket edit would be complete without a Louis Vuitton inspired number. When Marc Jacobs sent twin pairings of Seventies’ inspired, pastel hued checks down the escalator runway, we fell… hard. This offering from Zara combines an easy, fit-for-all shape with the latest lemon yellow hue for the ultimate statement.
