This spring, Dior is partnering with Harrods in a collaboration which will see the famous Knightsbridge store totally transformed in celebration of the French label. Inspired by the relationship between these two iconic, international brands, and the time which Christian Dior spent at Harrods in the 1950s, the collaboration promises a unique fusion of British heritage and French style, with a series of pop-up exhibitions, displays and exclusive products all coming together to offer what we here at Aesthetic HQ are sure will prove a truly memorable fashion experience.

Blending Gallic grace with a distinctly British aesthetic, the Harrods windows will play host to phone boxes displaying a variety of limited edition Dior products, created specifically to mark the collaboration. Alongside this you’ll find Beefeaters dressed in bespoke outfits designed by Raf Simons, and the fourth floor completely taken over by all things Dior, with displays showcasing a series of iconic products, including fragrances, accessories and cosmetics. The relationship between the Dior brand and the celebrity muse is also explored through an installation which showcases the gowns worn by a series of Dior girls, including Audrey Hepburn, Marion Cotillard and Jennifer Lawrence.

As your visit finishes, you’re invited to enjoy a lobster club sandwich and a cupcake in Café Dior, before picking up (or perhaps just admiring!) a few exclusive souvenirs created especially to commemorate the collaboration:

diorharrodsDior at Harrods Snowglobe, £300. Lady Dior Pouch in Embroidered Red Tartan, £680. Le Vernis in Diorling and Windsor, £18 each. Dior Claridges Palette, £52.

The Dior takeover will be in residence at Harrods from Saturday 16th March- Sunday 14th April 2013. Harrods, 87-135 Brompton Rd, Knightsbridge, London, SW1X 7XL.
