It’s a Friday afternoon, which means it’s probably time to crack open the Diet Coke, pick up a dozen Hummingbird Bakery cupcakes on your lunch break and have a mosey around the Internet ahead of the weekend.

Our favourite beauty read this week has got to be a toss-up between Anna’s oils report on Vivianna Does Makeup and chilling out with the uber-cool Diane von Furstenberg on Into The Gloss. We like.

In between making our seasonal edit of nail lacquers for the shiny new issue of Aesthetic, I’ve been dabbling in the world of subtle nail art. Check out this Essie Sand Tropez DIY mani with Models Own Disco Inferno delicately daubed on the moons. Perfect for a hint of glitter without being too out there and distracting when tapping away at the keyboard…

Music-wise, I have NU’EST and SHINee’s latest releases on replay. Highlights include the title tracks (‘Hello’ and ‘Dream Girl’, respectively), and NU’EST’s ‘Beautiful Solo’. If your only K-pop knowledge is that of PSY’s Gangnam Style, give these tracks a whirl…

With these cold beyond cold evenings still lingering around, I’ve been taking the time to indulge in as many drama series and animes as my eyeballs can handle. Notable must-watchers this week include Amnesia (it’s just started, so you can keep up!), Sword Art Online (we reviewed it here) and Flower Boy Next Door.

Finally, things have been getting a bit foodie around these parts. Did you read our introduction to Japanese street food dining earlier in the week? Note the current location in your diary and make it a Saturday destination.
