Street kitchens are the latest trend to hit the Aesthetic Food Haven. Gone are the days of putting your name on a reservation list three months in advance, and pop-up burger joints? Well we’ll get onto that later. Peko Peko is a Japanese street kitchen based in London, popping up at multiple markets at any given time.
The Peko Peko menu changes quickly to adapt to new locations and tastes, but if you get a chance, I’d highly recommend the Teriyaki Burger, a surprisingly perfect duo, with teriyaki chicken and a light lettuce with mayo on a soft bun. The Chicken Teriyaki Bento is perfect for something a little more classic and filling, and the word on the street is that their Beef Gyudon is a great winter warmer.
If you’re interested in heading over, be sure to follow them on Twitter @PekoPekoKitchen and Facebook to keep track of their latest whereabouts, but right now, you can catch them at Victoria Tachbrook Street Market.
