Who would’ve thunk it? London Fashion Week is quite literally around the corner, so put down that Valentine’s Hummingbird cupcake, stop checking your phone for messages, and note down our beauty essentials for this week and beyond…
First up, the Caudalie Beauty Elixir is a must-have, rain or shine, day or night. A product that has often divided the ladies here at Aesthetic HQ, we’ve firmly placed it in the essentials category for this week. With a couple of spritzes of its peppermint, rosemary goodness, you’re good to go for at least another four hours. If you’re not a huge fan of the peppermint scent, we’ve only heard praises about the Caudalie Grape Spray, so throw that in your bag too.
The Kiehl’s Creamy Eye Treatment with Avocado is a heavy duty, gentle-on-the-eye-area, eye cream. Let’s not beat about the bush, LFW is stressful business. Early mornings, long days, late nights and not enough time to catch those mystical forty winks means you need to trick your way to primped peepers. Dab a tiny amount of this green goodness with your ring finger around the eye area and wake up to refreshed eyes.
Not quite enough? The Bobbi Brown Creamy Concealer Kit is the only concealing product to be seen with. Masking dark circles like no other, this is an essential for those early wake-up calls. And if all else fails, a pair of The Row sunglasses will complete your eye look.
Finally, you can start skipping the rest of your face towards the end of LFW. Come on, you know the score, doing it all is starting to wear a little bit thin. Go for the bold lip with a wash of Chanel’s newest seasonal lipstick, the Rouge Allure Velvet in L’Eclatante is a beautiful soft yet bright coral from the Spring Collection 2013. A more affordable option comes in the form of Rimmel’s Apocalips – we’re loving Big Bang and Stellar for a real statement lip, although make sure you have some Lipcote at hand because these lacquers are prone to getting messy. Alternatively, treat yourself to a YSL Glossy Stain in No.10 Rose Philtre… five days of stomping the cobbles all in the name of AW13 does deserve a little luxury treat, y’know.
