Last month saw the debut of South Korean girl group 4minute’s sub-unit, 2YOON. If you’re new to K-pop then prepare yourself for on-stage style as you haven’t seen it before, and if you’re an avid enthusiast, settle back and learn how to recreate Gayoon and Jiyoon’s quirky, country-inspired look for their 24/7 looks…

2yoon-1

GAYOON

Gayoon is styled as the girlier of the duo in this concept. Clashing prints, adorable heeled boots, layers and, always, a flower headband is the foundation of this look. To get the look, I found this Ditsy Print Bed Jacket by River Island, which will see you through everyday styles as well as look perfect with a LBD for a night out with the girls. Gayoon’s jackets are from the likes of Isabel Marant and Givenchy, but for a fraction of that price, you’ll find similar all over the high street too. Add a kick of denim and rolled down socks for that country girl charm, I personally look to Tabio or H&M for mine.

Gayoon also layers skirts with leggings and trousers (although I can’t see this being too comfortable!). I adore this Aztec print skirt, which I can’t stop thinking about – oh hello, payday purchase… And finally, to complete the look, peachy pink lips, tousled hair – I’d recommend 1-3-2 on the Enrapture Totem Styler, brushed out and fixed with Shiseido’s Fog Bar – and a flower crown.

2yoon-2

JIYOON

On the other side of the spectrum, Jiyoon is styled as the easy-going, fun-loving one. Think a perfectly rolled-up trouser, cute flatcap, little heeled boots and candyfloss coloured hair. Get Jiyoon’s look with a checked detail shirt and pinafore. Note the checked ‘detail’ and not a full checked shirt!

I absolutely love the pinafore style dresses and playsuits that are filtering onto the high street at the moment. This one is from Miss Selfridge, but shop around because what enters the realms of the high street giants will easily transcend down to the more affordable. Boots-wise, I’m loving these from ASOS. I can’t be the only one that takes the boot through to the spring, right? Add a sweet floral crown for headgear, as well as some coral lipstick, and you’re good to go.
